Nigeria is one of Africa's largest landmasses and comprises 36 States plus the Federal Capital Territory.

Niger State is Nigeria's largest state, covering an area of 76,363 square kilometers and bordered by four other states: Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna and Kwara. It houses two major power dams.

Niger, West Africa's largest state and home to various ethnic groups such as Hausa and Songhai peoples, takes its name from the River Niger. Minna serves as its capital while Bida and Kontagora are other important cities.

State is home to abundant natural resources such as gold, tin, iron ore and coal; agriculture flourishes with large livestock herds; oil and gas exploration is thriving here too!

Niger is widely considered the "Power State", home to two of Nigeria's major hydroelectric power stations - Kainji and Shiroro hydroelectric dams which form reservoirs which form Kainji Lake National Park.

Niger is renowned for producing groundnuts, cotton, millet and rice; its lush vegetation and fauna attract many tourists; while its climate features distinct wet and dry seasons.
